A Big Thank You And News About Prizes

What an absolutely amazing few weeks! The raffle is now closed to entries and the frankly fantastic grand total that it raised is:
£513.50

I am truly blown away by the sheer amount of support that this raffle has received. To all the companies who got involved and to all those who made a donation I want to say a huge THANK YOU. Special thanks also has to go to Lucy at DearBeautifulBoy and Annie at Mammasaurus for all their help and support while I set this up.

The process of drawing winners and allocating prizes begins now. If you’re one of the lucky ones expect an email winging it’s way to your inbox before the 20th December. I’ll be posting a list of the winners here too so keep checking back.

All prizes, including all jewellery if you’ve requested, will be sent out after Christmas, and if your prize is coming direct from a company please do bear with them over the Christmas period.

Thank you all again for making this such a success. The money raised is being put towards great things and I know that all at the Joanne Bingley Memorial Foundation are extremely grateful for every donation.

Wow!

£401 has been raised so far!

Thank you x

There’s still time to donate and enter the raffle or get yourself some pretty jewellery!

An Explanation…

I’ve taken on a new little project – The aim of these pages is to raise awareness of the Joanne Bingley Memorial Foundation and their work. You can read more information about them here, but first I want to say why I am doing this.

Having followed the foundation for a while now I recently read an article that made me simply have to get up and do something. Since having my daughter in January of this year I have suffered with postnatal depression. In that article I saw so many parallels, so many ways in which Joe suffered that I did too. If you want to read more about me you can do here, or here.

The very fact that people are losing their battles and their lives to this illness makes me angry. The lack of provision of care, of support and of understanding makes me angry. No one should be left to suffer.

I have turned my anger into determination. I am passionate about helping the foundation in their work. There is an e-petition here, it needs 100,000 signitures to be discussed in parliament, it takes less than a minute to sign. Please sign.

The aim of my project, as well as to raise awareness, is to raise some much needed money. Money that will be used to further the cause, to print and distribute leaflets to new mums and to campaign for change. Whether you help by spreading the word or making a donation, big or small, it really will help.

Already I have had so many offers of support from companies who have donated prizes to friends who have helped me in setting up these pages. Thank you to everyone that has been involved so far, and to anyone that wants to offer their help you can get in touch with me here.

I am only one person and I can only do so much, but what I have done is begin to set up a raffle. So far I have received over thirty prizes, with a combined total of over £800, through donations from some lovely companies.

And this is where I need your help. Within the next two weeks the raffle will open. There really are some fantastic prizes up for grabs and there’s something for everyone. Next week I will be publishing more details, including how you can get your tickets. Until then, please help me by spreading the word, tell as many people as you can! If you want to donate in the meantime, you can do so here.

Coming Soon…
